things they don't tell you...
I'll say what you're thinking on all things family, friends, food, fitness & fashion.
A few weeks ago I received an email from student at UC Berkeley, Kai Schmittat, who also happens to also be a parent and a motivated children's writer. I feel honored that I am on his radar and would like to share his upcoming work with y'all.
Kai has a very clear goal which aligns with my own philosophies, which is to help others better understand and appreciate diversity. Many of you know this to be true even in my own high school classroom (It is a guiding principle on my resume!). The idea behind the books is total personalization. The books would be made to order and include a character with features like those of your child. It would include a diverse population ranging to include all ethnicities and disabilities. I think Kai is on to something here...
Today, May 18th, begins the kickstart event for Kai's brainchild, "Crayon Crunch." Visit the website to see more details about this great project and to find out how you can get your own personalized book. There is also a giveaway for $100 Toys R Us gift card and a FREE personalized Crayon Crunch book! Click the image below and scroll down the CC blog for many ways to win!
Good Luck, Crayon Crunch!
